Allison grw up in Penticton, BC, and returned in 2005 with a new found appreciation and amazment for the beauty and simplicity of life in the Okanagan Valley. She feels this beauty and simplicity has hugely nurtured her passion in photography- an enduring hobby since childhood- and has afforded her wonderful opportunities to indulge this passion, hone technique and engage with the local photography community.

 

Allison belives photos should say as much about the photographer as they do about the subject. When a photo really catches her eye, she tries to understand how the photographer found a way to say something different about the humour or whimsy in a scene and ultimately hopes to convey something distictive about the objects, building and landscapes that sees when taking a picture.

 

Allison has shown her work in several venues including the North Vancouver CityScape Gallery, Penticton Art Gallery Christmas Show. She was chosen as one of 8 photographers showcasing London Drugs photography services.
