As a child, Karen dreamed of becoming a chef. It wasn’t until she had accumulated a wealth of food science education and experience that she stumbled onto her true calling—winemaking. As approachable and engaging as the wine she crafts, Karen has been with us since 2007. She believes quality winemaking requires a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves method. While Red Rooster is already known for making great VQA wines, Karen’s vision is to become the benchmark for quality in the Okanagan.
