Pinot Blanc 2010
ABOUT THE WINE
The grapes for our Pinot Blanc are sourced from several preminum vineyards in the south Okanagan. Gentle treatment of the grapes and cold soaking the pressed wine on the skins to extract extra flavour and texture are key to this wine. For added depth of flavour and complexity a small portion of the wine was exposed to French oak. To further enhance the mouth-feel the wine was also aged Sur Lie for 6 months.
TASTING NOTES
Clear and bright with an aroma of red apple, tropical fruit and tangerine. This medium-bodied wine has a slightly rich mouth-feel with a touch of sweetness balanced by refreshing acidity. Fruit-forward flavours of green apple, pear, honeydew melon and lime fill the mouth. Notes of citrus peel, green apple and yellow plum linger on the finish. Drink while young and fresh.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Served with lightly breaded pan-fried fish fillets; corned beef and cabbage; chicken or fish in a delicate cream sauce; Quiche Lorraine; leek and onion tarts and clear base clam chowder.
